Leslie Abbott is here, there and everywhere… and not just where I am on the map of the world. I’m kind of here, there and everywhere in the other parts of my life, too.

Which is what led me to leave my home, my career and my “stuff” to travel full-time. For how long? I am not sure. I told myself two years minimum when I embarked on this journey on April 30, 2018. Minimum is a key word in that sentence. I am not in a hurry to figure something specific out. I am letting it unfold.

I have always been curious about pretty much everything. I enjoy talking with people and understanding who they are, how their experiences have shaped them, and what they want to do in life. I am interested in insights, ideas and reflections, as well as the mastery people have developed to survive and thrive in the day-to-day.

I love having new experiences, including going to places where I have never been. I deeply appreciate nature, more and more every day. I love the eclectic people, activities and energy of big cities. And I truly respect the daily and long- term interdependent community of small towns.

And I like capturing what I see in photographs – and sharing the things I find beautiful, inspiring, interesting, insightful, unique, funny, human.

I have been beyond blessed in my life to have been born into a loving and interesting family, to be healthy, to have had a good education, a fulfilling career, and wonderful friends.

But I have also struggled with a lot of the things everyone struggles with – childhood wounds, insecurity, isolation, disappointment, exhaustion, overwhelm, cynicism, workaholism, resentment, stress…

Even though I didn’t know what “it” was, I knew I was supposed to do something else in the second half of my life. And the best way I figured to do that was to radically simplify my life, free my time and resources to follow all that curiosity and desire, and get out there and start doing it.

So what’s happening in my life now is not just about RVing and travel – though, of course, they are central. Really what I’m up to is giving my attention and energy to the things that bring me closer to Spirit, to body, to nature, to others, to calm, to kindness, to understanding, to interrelatedness, to creativity, to delight, to joy.

And sharing that with you here, there and e v e r y w h e r e.
